Once legal review, implementation acceptance and activation are complete, these policies will apply across Kadutech's direct store, services, KMarketplace, Academy, licensing and customer accounts. They explain what happens when a purchase goes wrong, how long information is kept and how we protect access. Nothing here removes a right provided by Nigerian law.
Our core commitments
- We do not use a blanket “no refund” rule.
- You should pay once. If a debit or payment is unclear, contact us before paying again.
- A refund is not complete until the payment provider confirms it.
- We separate records that must be retained from personal details that can be removed.
- Staff access is role-restricted, audited and subject to stronger verification for sensitive actions.
Returns, cancellations and refunds
If an item is unsafe, defective, counterfeit, wrong, materially different from its description, damaged in delivery or not delivered, contact us promptly. Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, the remedy may be repair, replacement, re-performance or a full or partial refund. Kadutech and a marketplace merchant will not use a promotion, warranty or store term to remove a mandatory consumer right.
Before dispatch or performance
An order cancelled before dispatch normally receives a full refund. A reasonable, previously disclosed and genuinely incurred cost may be deducted only for a pure change-of-mind cancellation where the law permits it. No deduction applies when Kadutech or the seller cannot fulfil the order.
After delivery
In addition to statutory rights, Kadutech offers a seven-calendar-day change-of-mind window for eligible unused goods returned in their original condition. The customer normally pays change-of-mind return delivery. Customised, perishable, opened hygiene-sensitive or consumed digital products may be excluded, but an exclusion does not apply to a defect, safety problem, misdescription, wrong item or duplicate charge.
Services, licences and learning programmes
A service not started is refundable less only a disclosed, reasonable third-party cost already committed. Once work starts, we may offer correction, re-performance or a fair refund for the unperformed or unusable portion. Correctly issued and activated digital licences are not normally refundable for change of mind after value is consumed; non-delivery, technical failure, misdescription and duplicate billing remain reviewable. Academy withdrawals are assessed against the programme delivered and commitments made, with a written calculation.
KMarketplace purchases
The merchant named on the listing and receipt is responsible for the description, quality, lawful sale, fulfilment and merchant-caused remedies. Kadutech operates the marketplace complaint process and provides one case route; we will not require a customer to resolve the same issue separately with the merchant and delivery team. A merchant is expected to respond within two business days. Kadutech may decide the platform case sooner when the evidence is clear, the merchant does not respond, or a legal or payment-network deadline requires action.
Delivery, platform and processing costs follow responsibility. When Kadutech, a merchant or the delivery chain failed, the customer receives the complete remedy required by law. A payment processor's charge to Kadutech is not automatically taken from a statutory refund.
How to request and track a remedy
- Contact support with the order or payment reference, the problem and your preferred remedy.
- We acknowledge the case within one business day and may request proportionate photographs, delivery evidence or error details.
- We record the decision and any item, delivery, platform or deduction amount separately.
- An approved refund is sent against the original Paystack transaction and tracked until the provider reports it processed, failed or needing attention.
- We notify you when it is initiated and completed, or if action is required. Paystack says a normal refund may take approximately 3–10 working days after initiation.
Never send Kadutech your card PIN, OTP, complete card number or online-banking password. Starting a bank dispute does not prevent you from contacting us, but we must avoid issuing the same refund twice. You may escalate a complaint to Kadutech's Owner, your bank, Paystack or the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
Data retention schedule
We keep personal information only for the purpose explained, an active relationship, security and dispute handling, or a legal, tax or accounting duty. When a longer-lived transaction record must remain, we remove unnecessary identity, address, message or document content. An active legal hold pauses deletion only for the records and period needed for the case.
Browser checkout details
Default period: 90 days after the last update
At the end: Stored on that browser; the customer may clear site data sooner.
Live-support conversations
Default period: 30 days after closure or last activity
At the end: Messages and visitor access token are scheduled for deletion unless a case must be preserved.
Order contact and delivery detail
Default period: 24 months after delivery, refund or case closure
At the end: Precise address, phone and free-text notes are then removed unless an open warranty, dispute or legal duty requires them.
Payment, refund, invoice and accounting core
Default period: At least 6 years from the applicable financial record date
At the end: Only the minimum record needed for tax, accounting, fraud, dispute and legal obligations is retained.
Merchant KYC documents
Default period: Active relationship plus 12 months; rejected/withdrawn applications normally 90 days after appeal
At the end: Raw documents are deleted unless Paystack, law, fraud review or a legal hold requires longer; the verification outcome may remain.
AI hardware recommendations
Default period: 90 days
At the end: Input and result are deleted or de-identified; aggregate service statistics may remain.
Corporate email
Default period: Normally 3 years after a thread closes
At the end: Contractual, financial or legal correspondence may be kept for 6 years; attachments follow the same or a shorter period.
Staff and privileged audit records
Default period: Engagement plus 6 years for the minimum accountability record
At the end: Authentication challenges and sessions are removed much sooner.
Customer-operated products
Default period: The customer organisation’s written schedule
At the end: Kadutech returns or deletes processor-held data after termination; the default target is 90 days where no other schedule applies.
Backups
Default period: Rolling 35 days
At the end: Backups are not used for ordinary access; restored data is placed back into the deletion process.
During the transition to fully automated deletion, Kadutech reviews eligible deletion requests and expired records operationally. We do not claim that expiry alone proves a database row or backup has already been physically erased. Our target is to apply the schedule to active databases, private object storage, processors and restored backups, with deletion evidence that does not copy the deleted content.
Your data choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, restrict, object to, export or erase personal data, withdraw consent and request human review of a significant automated decision. We target a response within 30 days. We may retain the minimum record required for a purchase, dispute, security event, legal hold, tax or accounting obligation and will explain that reason. Read the full privacy policyfor product-specific processing and the role of customer organisations.
Staff and account security
Under the approved policy baseline, Kadutech uses verified identity, role-based access, secure sessions and audit records. Privileged staff will be required to use stronger multi-factor verification, with a phishing-resistant passkey or security key as the target standard. Sensitive actions such as refunds, settlement changes, access grants, key issuance, exports and deletion require recent verification and server-side permission checks. Email alone is not an adequate recovery method for a privileged account.
Recovery revokes old sessions and recovery material, notifies the account holder and temporarily restricts high-risk actions. Staff must never ask a customer or colleague to reveal an OTP, recovery code, passkey QR or private key. Report a suspicious sign-in, unexpected code or account change immediately.
Contact, escalation and changes
Send an order or policy question to contact@kadutech.com, call or WhatsApp +234 706 202 5993, or use live support. Identify the product and case, but do not attach sensitive identity documents to an ordinary message unless an authorised Kadutech workflow specifically requests them.
We review these policies after material product, legal, payment or security changes. A change that materially affects existing rights receives an updated version and effective date plus an appropriate notice. Applicable Nigerian law controls if a term on this page conflicts with a mandatory right.
